Dora Backpack Party Favor

This year my two oldest daughter had a Dora the Explorer birthday party. I made these backpack to put treats in. They also included a map and some items to help them find the birthday cake which Swiper had taken.

These were so simple to make. I folded a piece of felt in half and cut off a small piece on the top. I then cut that piece in two to make straps in the back. The sides and bottom was hot glued together. I glued on the straps and some eyes and a mouth, which were also made of felt. They took minutes to make and were a huge hit.

Marshmallow Fondant

I am throwing my kids a birthday party tomorrow and wanted to try something new on the cake. I have always wanted to try fondant but was kind of scared. I went ahead and gave it a try. It came out good considering it was my first try. I will definitely be doing it again. Check this this awesome tutorial.
