Quick Desserts Using Pound Cake

Now that you have made pound cake and have it in the freezer for a rainy day I have some recipes to use it with.

* Strawberry Shortcut
Thaw some frozen strawberries or slice up some fresh ones. Spoon over a slice of pound cake and top with a dollop of whipped cream.

* Pound cake Sundaes
Serve a slice of pound cake with a scoop of ice cream on top. Top the ice cream with some chocolate fudge and nuts.

* Trifle
Slice the cake very thin and layer with pudding and whipped cream.

* Ice Cream Sandwiches
Sandwich softened ice cream between two pieces of pound cake. wrap and freeze until ready to serve.

*Easy Crisp
Crumble cake and toss with melted butter. Pour some pie filling in a baking dish and top with crumbled cake. Bake at 350 until fruit bubbles and topping is brown.
