We have hard water here in Syracuse, Kansas and it leaves your glasses looking horrible after a trip through the dishwasher. I have spent lots of money trying to find a solution.
I am not 100% happy with the results but I have found that Cascade Complete (which I got for free couponing yesterday) and Lemi- Shine Rinse does a good job.

Or just switch to a dishwasher detergent with phosphate. Just google it.
