I used to be one those that opened a can of cranberry sauce for holiday meals. Those days are long gone. I have found a super simple recipe that will be come a holiday tradition in my household.
1 package fresh cranberries
1 cup sugar
1 cup orange juice
1 tsp orange zest
Combine cranberries,sugar, orange juice, and zest in a medium saucepan, and cook over medium heat until cranberries pop.
Reduce heat to low; cook, stirring occasionally for about 15 minutes.
Leave cranberries whole or put through a blender once cool (which I did).
